Local Rules

CCP reviews and manages applicants for the official roster of GALs and Parenting Coordinators for Judicial District 18 (Orange and Chatham County), following the criteria outlined in the Local Rules.

North Carolina has 43 judicial districts, and each maintains its own set of Local Rules. Please visit www.nccourts.gov for the Local Rules in the Districts you wish to serve.

PC and GAL lists (District 18)

The Center for Cooperative Parenting oversees applications for the official PC and GAL lists, maintained by the District 18 Courts.

Consultation Groups

Ongoing consultation groups for case review and peer support:

Virtual PC Consultation hosted by the Center for Cooperative Parenting meets on the second Friday of the month via Zoom.

In-Person Peer Supervision (hosted by Wake Family Law Group & LePage Associates) meets at 8:00am on the 3rd Friday of the first month of each quarter, skipping July for summer.

GAL Consultation Group meets on the third Friday of the month in person.
